Adventures with Zella Book Debut Reading and Signing Event

Join author Augustine Oglesby during the debut event for her new book, Adventures with Zella, at the Elk County Council on the Arts Gallery. Oglesby will offer short readings, take questions, and sign books as she introduces us to Zella, a mischievous young lady who will spark our childhood memories of how curious and inviting the world can seem.

In the new series of short stories you'll meet Zella, a mix of Northern and Southern, ragamuffin and princess, who "gots trouble" but "gots a plan" - at least in her mind. Oglesby continues to be inspired by the Schrader-Ray family, which sparked the original idea for Zella and her adventures.

Oglesby has been writing poetry and short stories since her early teens. She has always had an interest in creative writing, and explored this subject with mostly observational writing. She attended Edinboro State College (now University) for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture, and a minor in drawing/design.

Augustine is a self-published literary artist, and has printed: Baptisms of Fire, A Hand on My Shoulder, A Quiet Life, and Stitches.

This event is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase.

Event Details: Friday, December 13, 6-8PM, in the ECCOTA Gallery, 237 Main Street, Ridgway
