Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

(better then those pouches you buy in the store!!)

1  7 qt box of powdered milk

22 oz  cremora

22 oz Nesquik POWDER  (I couldn't find a 22 oz, so I bought a 30 oz, and the kids talked me into using the whole thing because there is no such thing as "too much chololate")

1 pd powdered sugar

Mix all together in a LARGE bowl.  (I actually use my corn pot)

Use 1/3 cup of the mix to a coffee cup of HOT water.  top with marshmellows or marshemellow fluff if you want.  Enjoy!!

Store in an airtight container.

Makes great gifts!

Not a drinker but I'm sure you could.  I will post another recipe for you if you want alcohol.  I don't drink but I did taste this drink and I understand where the name came from.  The recipe is at home so will have to post it later.

Fruit Smoothie

I make these alllll the time! Very effortless and super yummy!

I buy a few bags of frozen fruits. My favorites are:

Sliced Peaches

Strawberries

Red Grapes

Pineapple

Throw a lil of each of those into a blender...I add more strawberries than anything. I also add just a pinch of sugar...helps if the fruit is a lil tart.

Add apple juice while blending until everything is mixed well and it's to the consistency you like.

And enjoy! Super easy, super healthy and extremely delicious! Oh and pretty filling too!

Ginger water

1 cup peeled, finely chopped ginger

2 cups water

Simple Syrup

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

2 In a separate saucepan, make the Simple Syrup by dissolving 1 cup granulated sugar into 1 cup of boiling water. Set aside.

3 Make individual (tall) glasses of ginger ale by mixing 1/2 cup of ginger water with 1/3 cup of Simple Syrup and 1/2 cup of club soda. Add a few drops of fresh lime juice and a lime wedge to each glass.

Frozen Butterbeer

Ingredients:

For the butterbeer:

1 1/2 cups cream soda

6 tablespoons butterscotch schnapps

2 cups ice

For the foamy topping:

6 tablespoons heavy cream

1 tablespoon butterscotch schnapps

Directions:

Combine cream soda, schnapps and ice in a blender. Blend until slushy. Pour into a glass or mug. In a small bowl, combine heavy cream and schnapps. Using an electric mixer, whisk together until almost whipped. You want the cream mixture to be slightly loose, not as firm as whipped cream. Top the butterbeer with the foamy topping and serve immediately.
