Administrators Pompeii Posted February 11, 2006 Author Administrators Share Posted February 11, 2006 PERFECT HARD BOILED EGGS Place fresh eggs in a deep pot. Add enough salted water to cover them by more than an inch. Cook uncovered over high heat till water comes to a boil. Immediately cover and remove from heat Let pan set for 5 minutes and then test one egg. Drop it into a large bowl of very cold water. Peel and slice in half. If it is cooked to your liking, immediately chill and peel the rest of the eggs. Otherwise, let them sit for another minute or two in the hot water. You will not end up with green yolks or rubbery eggs.
