Cotton Candy Grass

They have just given an new pretty name to an old grass. Far as I can tell that is muhly grass or Muhlenbergia capillaris. It will grow in almost any type of soil and will tolerate dry spells once established. It will also grow with wet feet.  While it is a native North American grass it is native to the more southern regions. It is said to be hardy to zone 6 with protection. It might make it through the winter here but then again it probably wouldn't. If we get a really cold winter it is toast.
