Hazel “Joyce” Kaizer, Age 79, of Oklahoma Cemetery Road, DuBois, PA, formerly of Clear Run died on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Nelson’s Golden Years, DuBois, PA.

Born on May 12, 1938 in Clearfield, PA she was the daughter of the late Donald & Muriel (Lawhead) Nelson.

She was a 1956 graduate of DuBois Area High School.

On August 3, 1957 she married William Kaizer. He survives.

She retired in 2002, as a central service technician from the DuBois Regional Medical Center after 34 years of service.  After her retirement, she worked part time at Joe’s Tux Shop for 12 years.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. She was a 7-gallon blood donor and past member of the Buick Club of America. She was a member of 500 & 600 bowling club and bowled in many state and national tournaments.

Joyce enjoyed bowling, sports and her family. She loved to watch all sports from Little League to her favorite Pittsburgh Pirates & Penguins.

Joyce is survived by 2 daughters: Christine Hetrick & her husband Rick of Daytona Beach, FL and Patricia Thomas & her husband Rodger of DuBois, PA; a sister: Dorothy Fairman and her husband Bob of DuBois, PA; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Dawna Quarando & Joan Kolash and 1 great granddaughter.

There will be no public visitation.

A private memorial mass will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorials may be placed with St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 116 South State Street, DuBois, PA 15801.

Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
