(Burkhouse) Hilliard, Age 78, of Falls Creek passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born on June 9, 1939 in Hormtown a daughter of the late Richard and Mildred (Smith) Burkhouse, Sr. Betty married Harry Hilliard on September 22, 1956 in Brockport, he survives of Falls Creek. She was a homemaker. Betty is survived by a daughter, Karen Shaffer of Falls Creek; two grandsons, Eric Hilliard & his wife Bridgette of DuBois and Aaron Shaffer of Falls Creek and great grandchildren, Riley & Katlyn Shaffer and Justin & Erica Hilliard. She is also survived by two sisters; Martha Shaffer & her husband Wendel of Falls Creek and Hazel Nolf of Brookville. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Tessa Hilliard and three sisters, Mary Kester, Ethel Benedek & Gertrude Zimmerman and a brother, Richard Burkhouse, Jr. There will be no public visitation and a private funeral service will be held. Interment will be in the Smith Cemetery, Hormtown. Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
