Administrators Pompeii Posted May 28, 2018 Administrators Share Posted May 28, 2018 Kathryn Syrylo, Age 95 of DuBois, PA died Monday, May 28, 2018 at the DuBois Village in DuBois, PA. Born on September 15, 1922 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late John & Anastasia (Surkalo) Syrylo. Kathryn retired from the JC Penny Company in DuBois after many years of service. She was a member of the Nativity Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church where she was active in church affairs and she loved to garden and read. Kathryn is survived by 3 nieces (Jamie DeFrank & her husband John of Hershey, PA; Susan Rodgers of Midlothian, VA; and Lee Ann Syrylo of West Palm Beach, FL) She was preceded in death by her brother (Pete Syrylo) and her sister (Mary Syrylo). There will be no public visitation. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. from the Nativity Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr. Vasyl Banyk as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
