Administrators Pompeii Posted May 30, 2018 Administrators Share Posted May 30, 2018 Arlene A. Weis, Age 80 of Stanley Road, DuBois, PA died Monday, May 28, 2018 at her home. Born on December 31, 1937 in Troutville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jacob & Luella (Weber) Miller. On July 16, 1977, she married Richard “Dick” Weis. He survives. Arlene worked at Jeff Tech and Rola Jensen in DuBois. She enjoyed dancing, skating, country music, camping, cooking, and baking. She is survived by her daughter (Diane L.McGarvey Schatz of Largo, FL) two step daughters (Lisa Schaffer & her husband Ken of DuBois, PA and Patricia Bontempo & her husband Dan of Sykesville, PA); three step sons (Dick Weis & Jon Weis, both of DuBois, PA; and Michael Butler & his wife Toni of Kuna, ID) a granddaughter (Brieanna Beck); Step Grandchildren (Emilee Schaffer Robinson & her husband Mark, and Kenny & Lyle Schaffer; Noah, Danielle, & Leah Bontempo; Julie & Michael Butler; and MacKenzie & Taylor Weis); five great grandchildren(Chandler Beck, Alexis Pollick, Zoe Goetz, Natalie Bontempo, & Allison Brosky); and a sister Laura Kuntz of Brookville, PA). Arlene was preceded in death by her first husband (Sherman McGarvey), a son (Brian McGarvey) a daughter (Cynthia Beck), 5 brothers (Chester, Lloyd, Carl, Clyde, & Albert Miller) and 2 sisters (Florence Ellinger, and Dorothy Miller) Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from2-4 &6-8 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
