Administrators Pompeii Posted July 6, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 6, 2018 Velma "Vel" Tost, Age 84, of DuBois, PA passed away on Thursday, July 05, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on June 30, 1934 in Atoka, TN, she was the daughter of the late M.R. and Lucy Barron Ross. She was a graduate of the Mumford High School in Mumford, TN. On July 23, 1954 she married Raymond Tost. He preceded her death on April 29, 1993. She was a homemaker and prior to that she worked at Brockway Glass for serval years. Vel was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in DuBois. She was an avid bingo player and a regular Sunday shopper with her daughter Bert. She loved her family and their get together on special occasions. Vel is survived by 3 children, Michael Tost & his wife Bev of Demorest, GA, Patrick Tost of Altoona, PA and Roberta "Bert" Lockitski of DuBois, PA; 6 grandchildren, Christy Weaver, Jesse Lockitski, Taylor Lockitski, Corey Tost, Raya Tost and Nicole Lucas; 7 great grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. A private visitation and funeral service will be held from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Burial will be in Reynoldsville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. Memorials may be placed with the Nativity Hall Renovation Fund, 920 Howard Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
