Gary A. Mattison, Age 69, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA died on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born on December 18, 1948 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Evelyn Mattison Harris.

He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War.

On August 24, 1984 Gary married Nanci (Greer) Mattison. She survives.

He was employed as a sales representative for Thermospas for over 20 years and earned several top sales awards during his years of employment.

Gary was an avid golfer. He belonged to the Treasure Lake Men's Golf Association and had been the winner of two Member Guest Tournaments throughout the years. He played in the Tuesday Over the Hill Gang. He also achieved four Hole-In One's throughout his lifetime. He had performed with the DuBois Community Theater and also the DRMC Hospital Auxiliary Folies. Gary had been a past member of the Lakeside United Methodist Church and sang in the choir and had been a past Sunday School Superintendent. He will be sadly missed by all family and friends.

Gary is survived by 2 daughters, Sonya Mattison Longstreth of Meadville, PA and Nicole Martin of Little Falls, NY; a stepson, Jason Swaim of Tucson, AZ; 3 sisters, Teena Renadin of Kerkimer, NY, Irene Carpenter of Little Falls, NY & Crystal Dauback of Rome, NY; 3 brothers, Alfred, Dennis & David Carpenter all of Little Rock, AK and 4 grandchildren, Riley, Bailey, Machenzie & Alex.

There will be no public visitation and a celebration of Gary's life will be held at the convenience of the family and announced at a later date.

The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be placed with DuBois Public Library, 31 South Brady Street and/or the James J. Patterson Post 813 VFW, 114 Fuller Avenue, both of DuBois, PA 15801.
