Administrators Pompeii Posted January 14, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 14, 2019 Jan O. Thomas, age 98 of DuBois, PA died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born on June 21, 1920 in Grampian, PA she was the daughter of the late Ralph A. & Gladys (Daugherty) Thomas. Jan retired as the secretary of the First Baptist Church in DuBois and subsequent to retirement, she worked many years at Shop N Save. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in DuBois. Jan enjoyed art and drawing. She is survived by 2 nieces (Sherry Thomas of Grampian, PA and Cindy Rolls of DuBois, PA) 3 nephews (Barry Thomas and his wife Bettina of Burke, VA; Brent Thomas and his wife Debbie of Clearfield, PA; and Barth Thomas and his wife Kim of DuBois, PA) and great nieces and nephews (Colin, Zaden, Devon, Zoan, Zariana, Zarius, Zaelyn, & Zyla Thomas). She was preceded in death by 2 brothers (Nathan & Walter Thomas) There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. from the First Baptist Church in DuBois with Pastor Mark Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with the DuBois Christian School, 197 Eastern Ave., DuBois, PA 15801. The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc is in charge of arrangements.
