Kriste Lyn Ellenberger Age 52, of Green Glen Drive, DuBois, PA passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the DuBois Nursing Home following a brief illness.

Born on April 27, 1966 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Romaine H. (Straessley) Ellenberger.

Kriste attended DuBois Area Schools as well as the Hiram G. Andrews School in Johnstown.

Kriste was employed for many years at Hoss's Steak and Sea House in DuBois where she wrapped silverware, and took pride in making guests feel welcome. Kriste received awards for her dedicated service and hard work. 

Kriste loved being a part of the community and had many friends that she considered family. She never forgot important dates and was known for calling birthdays into the radio station. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed spending time at the Parkside Community Center.  She loved animals, particularly her cats Will and Willow. One of Kriste's biggest passions was the local sports teams. She loved going to all of the games and took such pride in being a loyal fan to all of the young athletes. Kriste cherished the awards she received for being so dedicated to our local teams.

Kriste is survived by her sister, Kim Lee of DuBois; Nieces Briana and Shalane Read of DuBois, and Brittany Larson of New Britain, CT.; and 9 great nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 4 - 7 PM & Friday, February 1, 2019 from 10 am. until the time of service at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor David Nagele officiating.

Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
