Julia R. (Federici) Suplizio, Age 98 of Hamor Street, DuBois, PA died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on July 31, 1920 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Clara (Muffie) Federici.

On April 3, 1943, she married her husband of 67 years, Dominick G. Suplizio.  He preceded her in death on October 8, 2010.

Julia was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church where she was a past member of the Altar Rosary Society.  She was a charter member of the Friendship Hose Company # 2 Ladies Auxiliary, the Auxiliary of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Unit 17, and was a member of the Sons of Italy of America.

Julia is survived by her children: (Anthony "Bubs" Suplizio (Christall) of DuBois, PA; Judith A. Suplizio of Wilmington, DE, Michael E. Suplizio(Diana Jean)of Darien, IL; Mary Ann Parente of Cecil, PA; Theresa S. Suplizio of DuBois, PA and John F. "Herm" Suplizio of DuBois, PA), twelve grandchildren (Mary A. "Toni" Cole of Marietta, GA; Anastasia M. Downer of DuBois, PA; Angelique M.  Suplizio-Blair of Brookville, PA; Dominick G. Suplizio of DuBois, PA; Nickolas A. Suplizio of DuBois, PA;  Amanda M. Miller of Plainfield, IL; Andrea L. Bettencourt of Plainfield, IL; Laura A. Parente-Comsa of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Julianne Napor of Orchard Park, NY; Gina M. Palastro of Pittsburgh, PA; Meghan C. Kuebler of Chillicothe, OH ; & Timothy M. Suplizio of Harrisburg, PA; ) 17 great-grandchildren, a sister (Shirley Radaker of DuBois, PA) and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, (Donna S. Gangloff); a son in law,(Anthony Parente );7 brothers (George, Rudy, Ted, Burt, John, James "Babe" and Joseph Federici), 3 sisters (Viola Snyder, Antionette "Wootsie" Vinzani, and Frances Sherkosky), one infant grandson (Peter Suplizio) and one infant great grandson (Anthony Suplizio).  

Visitation will be held on, Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as the celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery

Memorials may be placed with DuBois Central Catholic, P.O. Box 567 and/or St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 116 South State St. and/or DuBois Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 408, all in DuBois, PA 15801.
