lavender
Looks like groundsel. Senecio vulgaris Weeds are taking over the world this summer. Those are an annual so knock it down before the seeds escape. Pompeii
Petee
It looks like it's too late to stop the seeds. Since you live in a neighborhood with mostly mowed lawns, just treat that bed with Preen which will keep the seeds from sprouting again, unless you have a well. In that case, just keep ruffling the surface of the soil to kill the seedlings. Is your wife has other reseeding flowers in there that she doesn't want to lose, then take a picture of the mature weeds and any small ones of that same type. Also photograph the good seedlings, and sort them out as they come up in the spring. Yes, it is Groundsel, a very common weed around here. https://wimastergardener.org/article/common-groundsel-senecio-vulgaris/ Pompeii
