shutterstock_608376650-cuffs-3.jpgPINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Punxsutawney man is facing charges after he allegedly attacked and struck a man who hit his vehicle.

Court documents indicate the Punxsutawney-based State Police filed criminal charges against 46-year-old David Andrew Phillips.

According to a criminal complaint, around 12:01 a.m. on September 1, 2019, a known victim was doing donuts in a field and lost control of his vehicle, which caused him to hit David Andrew Phillips‘s vehicle.

According to the complaint, Phillips thought the driver of the vehicle hit his wife, due to her standing next to the vehicle. Phillips then allegedly pulled the victim out of his vehicle and struck him several times in the face with a closed fist.

The complaint notes the victim suffered redness to the right and left sides of his face, redness to both eyes, black and blue eyes, and redness to his neck. The injuries were photographed as evidence.

The following charges were filed against Phillips through Magisterial District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak’s office on October 1:

– Simple Assault
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, with Judge Bazylak presiding.

A certified summons was issued to Phillips on October 2.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 https://www.explorejeffersonpa.com/punxsy-man-accused-of-attacking-victim-following-vehicle-accident/

I think the Donut guy deserved it.  He was being careless and could have hurt Mr. Phillips' wife and Mr. Phillips.  I personally am not for violence, but I can see how easily this could happen.  I know many guys who would do the same thing.  The donut guy needs to get a life and drop the charges.   And no, I don't know the people involved.

Every day is a gift from God; that's why we call it the "present!"
