DUI Arrest on South White Street

Officer Miller, of the Brookville Borough Police Department, conducted a traffic stop at 2:30 a.m. on November 9 on South White Street on a black Ram 1500 for several traffic violations.

According to police, while speaking with the driver, Anthony S. Kubic of Johnstown, Officer Miller detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the Kubic’s breath.

Police say Kubic admitted to consuming several alcoholic beverages throughout the night.

After conducting several field sobriety tests, it was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol to a degree that it rendered him incapable of safely driving his vehicle.

He was transported to the Brookville Hospital for blood, and the blood sample was subsequently mailed to the Greensburg Regional Laboratory.

It was determined that his blood alcohol concentration was .146%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is .08%.

Kubic was charged with Driving Under the Influence and other summary traffic violations.
