With interest rates where they are,(1) where would you put $5000 safely  for a 5 to 10 year investment biggest bang for your buck ? (Already have a Traditional  IRA). I dont think Savings accounts will ever return back to 4 to 5%.   .5-.9 is pitiful. (2)  You are above the age of 55. Even with my financial acumen, Im interested in ideas. I know its late in the game. Retirement in about 8-10 years. ( I hope). My expectation would be over a 3% return minimum.
