JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A bystander captured the final moments of a chase that happened in Jefferson County Wednesday.

In the video, you can see a truck fly off the road into some trees before being quickly surrounded by a small fleet of cruisers and troopers.

According to state police, the incident began when troopers were called to an area near Sportsman Dam Road in Winslow Township to check on a man in a black pickup truck.

Troopers say they found the man in Reynlow Park, and when they approached, he drove toward them and then off the road to get around them.

According to state police, the man continued driving on Sportsman Dam Road, ignoring the lights and sirens of state police cruisers.

State police say the pursuit continued throughout Winslow and Knox townships, the driver at times driving off the road to avoid troopers.

The chase eventually came to an end on Panic-Knoxdale Road when the man drove off the road and into some trees, troopers say.
