The Peachtree City Police Department said two people attempted to shoplift from a Home Depot store in the city on Jan. 18. As officers chased one of the suspects in a nearby Walmart parking lot, a man shoved a shopping cart into the path of the suspect, causing him to fall to the ground

The suspect was checked by paramedics at the scene but he was not injured, local media reported.

Police said while they don’t “encourage anybody to intervene in a police situation,” they thanked the man for his “quick thinking and impeccable timing.”                                              SEE VIDEO   ;    https://wjactv.com/news/videos/georgia-police-thank-shopper-who-used-cart-to-take-down-shoplifting-suspect
