CDC - Covid Not Easily Spread Via Surfaces

Recommended Posts

If someone with Covid-19 sneezes on that doorknob and you touch it within 1-4 days, then you may get it, however, the number of live viral bodies will drop by the day. They need a living host (a human) in order to live and multiply.

The article says you will not get COVID 19 in this manner.

"Although when the change was made is not currently clear, the federal health agency appears to have subtly shifted its guidelines from March which simply said it “may be possible” to spread the virus from contaminated surfaces." So, we are supposed to now follow "subtly shifted guidelines." It sounds as though they have no clue and are going with the latest guess. Why they think this virus is any different than all other remains puzzling. The easier to scare you with, my dear.

Don't know. My hubby found it when j read him the comment about licking door knobs. Had to post lol.

Was your husband reading the employee training manual from Robert Kraft's favorite massage palour?

Can only image what else he found if he did a search contining the words "knob licking".

No, it says ""It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes," the CDC said on a now-archived page from March 28. At the time, however, the CDC did note that this possible method of transmission "is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads."

It is not the best way to spread it, but it can happen.

I heard you can get it from a tractor seat.
