ambulance-blurry-6.jpgHENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Reynoldsville woman was injured in a motorcycle crash on State Route 119 on Saturday.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 11:25 a.m. on July 18, a hit-and-run motorcycle crash occurred on Route 119, just north of State Route 410, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 53-year-old Timothy W. Malmgren, of Reynoldsville, was operating a 1981 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle, traveling on Route 119, when he lost control of the vehicle and laid it on its right side.

According to police, Malmgren and his passenger, 51-year-old Paula J. Smith, of Reynoldsville, were not wearing helmets.

Police say Malmgren fled the scene on foot following the crash. It is unknown if he was injured.

Smith suffered injuries of unknown severity and was transported to Penn Highlands Hospital.

Sykesville EMS, Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company, and Brosius Towing assisted at the scene.

Police say Malmgren was cited for a registration violation.
