Recommended Posts

That is a dangerous intersection...even after the state made improvements it is still a dangerous.

It shouldn't be.   It has a pretty good site-radius from all 3 directions.

I think it is a problem of stupid drivers.

I couldn't agree more...driving north or south on Rt. 119, people see you and still pull out in front of you.  I slow down before the intersection...only to have the driver behind me on my bumper, impatient because I slowed down to avoid a possible accident.

ambulance-blurry-6.jpgHENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say an area woman was transported by ambulance to Penn Highlands DuBois following a crash that occurred last week on State Route 119.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, the accident happened around 9:49 a.m. on July 22 on State Route 119 at its intersection with State Route 410, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 78-year-old Jacqueline Hudsick, of DuBois, was operating a 2012 Honda Fit, negotiating a left turn from State Route 119 to State Route 410, when she failed to yield to a 2003 Ford F-350, operated by 36-year-old Steven M. Royer, of Luthersburg, that was traveling north on State Route 119.

Royer was unable to avoid the collision and struck Hudsick’s vehicle head-on.

Hudsick suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by Sykesville Ambulance.

Royer was not injured.

Both occupants were using seat belts.

Brosious Towing towed both vehicles from the scene.

Hudsick was charged with a traffic violation.
