police-car-woods.jpgHENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a woman was cited for following too closely, causing a crash on State Route 119 on Friday.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 4:28 p.m. on July 31, a two-vehicle crash occurred on Route 119 just south of Pike Road in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

Police say a known witness was stopped in the southbound lane of Route 119 waiting to cross the northbound lane into a private driveway with a 2010 Dodge Nitro, operated by 45-year-old Jennifer S. Lohsandt, of Punxsutawney, stopped behind the witness’s vehicle.

According to police, a 2019 Chevrolet Trax, operated by 34-year-old Lacey M. Kemp, of Rochester Mills, Pa., that was traveling south on Route 119, going approximately 30 miles per hour, then struck Lohsandt’s vehicle from behind.

Lohsandt and Kemp were both using seat belts, and no injures were reported.

Kemp’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Brocius Towing.

Lohsandt’s vehicle sustained minor damage.

Big Run Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

Kemp was cited for following too closely.
