I'm a guy, but heard of some success/relief with certain teas (chamomile, passion flower).  Good luck and try deep breathing before you throw hard/sharp objects at those you love.

Tom at Walmart can formulate a Progesterone Cream that helps.  He has to talk to your doctor though so the prescription is written properly.  I got so hot that I felt if I spit on the floor I could start a fire.  It was agonizing and embarrassing when I was minding my own business and I suddenly turned redder than a beet and started sweating enough to soak my clothing.  This cream is the only thing that helped.

My doctor had a list of recommendations.  One was to take black cohosh.  Didn't work for me.  I get them quite often, on and off.  Have had them for quite a few years!  My mother gave me some essential oils that were supposed to help.  Didn't help.  I don't want to take hormones, so I just put up with them.  Best recommendation I can make is put a small window air conditioner in your bedroom.  That way, you can switch it on when you need it through the night.  I seem to get them at night a lot.  When I get them, it feels like my insides are burning up.

Every day is a gift from God; that's why we call it the "present!"
