Administrators Pompeii Posted September 20, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 20, 2020 Eugene “Butch” Sackash, age 76, Reynoldsville, PA died Friday, September 18, 2020 at his home. Born on August 13, 1944 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Michael Sackash, Sr. and Annie Bodner Sackash. He attended the Sykesville High School. On May 27, 1967 he married his wife of 53 years, Ruth “Penny” (Siple) Sackash. She survives. Butch retired from Sensus Metering / Rockwell International Manufacturing after 40 years of service. He was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Punxsutawney, PA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR racing on television, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters; (Sharon Stevenson and her husband James of Brockway, PA, Judy Sackash of Reynoldsville, PA and Wendy Kemmerer and her husband Dan of Rossiter, PA), grandchildren; (Alison, Abby and Andrew Kemmerer and Brandon Stevenson), 1 brother (Michael Sackash , Jr. of Sykesville, PA), and 3 sisters; (Lillian Gilga and Catherine Butkewich both of Sykesville, PA and Dorothy Rimer of Niagara Falls ,NY). He was preceded in death by brothers; (George and Henry Sackash) and sisters; (Verna Minns, Sophie Kennis, Anna Foradori, Delores Pindrock and Mary Gresock). There will be no public visitation and a private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Byzantine Cemetery.
