Mary Ann Reitz, age 80 of DuBois, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on October 1, 1940 in Brockport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ada (Silvis) Himes, Sr.

On December 17, 1966 she married the love of her life, Richard Lee Reitz. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1993.

Mary enjoyed every second she could spend with her family and was very proud of them. Her dog Sophie kept her company and never left her side. She was a woman of great faith. Those who knew her knew she always kept busy, whether it was outside doing yardwork or tending to housekeeping. She was always on the go. Mary enjoyed baking and cooking, word search puzzles, going for walks, and talking to friends and family on the phone. She will be greatly missed as she was the heart of the family.

Mary is survived by two sons, Joseph (Sherri) Reitz and Brian (Brenda Gamble) Reitz both of DuBois, PA, three brothers; Wayne Himes of DuBois, PA, Calvin (Tracy) Himes of Brockway, PA and Joe (Wanda) Himes also of Reynoldsville, PA, four grandchildren; Tiffany (Steve) Mooney of Florida, Stephani (Brad) Walker, Shaylee Reitz and Danny (Lauren) Robinson all of Reynoldsville, PA, and eight great grandchildren; Camden, Logan, Wesley, Oakley, Nathan, Mason, Easton and Skyler.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Benjamin “Buck” Himes, Jr., Ozzie and Wesley Himes, two sisters Edna Himes and Nan Jamison, daughter Patti Zuccolotto and grandson Noah Reitz.

Due to our current circumstances there will be no public visitation and a funeral service will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Soldier Community Church, 762 Reynoldsville-Sykesville Road, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.

The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
