Julia Ann Bojalad, Age 85 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

 

Born on November 28, 1935 in Westville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John & Loretta (Morris) Greenalch.

 

In 1959, she married Charles R. Bojalad.  He preceded her in death on March 31, 1989.

 

Julia was a graduate of Brockway High School and the Clarion Teachers College.

 

She retired from the Brockway Area School District as an elementary school teacher after 40 years of service.

 

Julia was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.  Julia was on of the founding members of the Friendship Hose Company # 2 Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association.  She enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, and loved QVC.

 

She is survived by 2 children (Charlene L. Bojalad and her wife Joyce Brackbill of Camp Hill, PA and John F. Bojalad and his wife Christina of DuBois, PA); 5 grandchildren (Jazmine, Zachary, Paige, Julia, and Mindy); a sister (Mary Lou Nosker of Hazen, PA); and a brother (John “Jack” Greenalch of Folsom, CA).

 

Julia was preceded in death by an infant son (Casey R. Bojalad).

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.  Due to state mandate, only 10 people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time and masks must be worn.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.  Masks must be worn and social distancing requirements will be followed.

 

Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be placed with the DuBois Public Library, 31 South Brady St., DuBois, PA 15801.
