SgtRick417
There are a couple neighborhood cats (feral??) who have decided that our tulip bed is an excellent toilet. Soil is soft and easily moved. Unfortunately, in the process they have dug up quite a few spring bulbs. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a remedy other than replanting in what has now become a septic field?

Petee
Just collect the bulbs that have been dug up and put them into a big pot of soil, and then put the pot in a cold garage till you see growth. Be sure they stay cold and very dark. You may want to put a piece of cardboard on top and check it frequently. You could also put the pot into an old refrigerator in a cold spot or if it is running. Just be sure to keep them dark. For the cats, cut a piece of chicken wire large enough to cover the bulb bed by over a foot. The cats do not like walking on the chicken wire, nor can they dig in it.
