ambulance-blurry-6.jpgWASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a teen passenger was transported by ambulance following a crash that occurred on State Route 219 in Washington Township on Tuesday morning.

According to police, around 7:27 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, a one-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 219 just south of Brubaker Road, in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 39-year-old Deanna M. Henry, of Brockway, was operating a 1986 Ford Ranger, traveling east on State Route 219, negotiating a slight left curve in the road, when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then left the roadway and overturned, coming to a final rest on its passenger side.

Henry and her passenger, identified as a 15-year-old male from DuBois, were not using seat belts.

The juvenile passenger suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by Jefferson County EMS.

Henry was not injured.

Zimmerman’s Towing and Falls Creek Ambulance also assisted at the scene.

Henry was cited for a traffic violation.
