mosha
Trumpet vines are the worst "weeds" I ever planted. Cut them down to ground and it took 3 years of Roundup and lawn service to finally kill off the suckers which sprout throughout the yard from the roots. Also quite invasive via roots and seeds. willow
I have a HUGE vine of this I started there to cover an ugly old tall building. It definitely does attract hummingbirds. I did not know it could cause a rash. Never had any problems with it but then I don't really mess with it. It does take over but it is in an area where there is nothing to take over. I was just complimented the other day how pretty it was.
Petee
I didn't think it could ever be as bad as Wisteria. I planted one 10-12 years ago and after years of coddling and pruning I had a nice structure but rarely any flowers because of the frosts. I had hubby chain saw it to the ground last year and now I have a monster trying to over take the side of the house.
Jay
Ha ha. I have been babying a wisteria for a few years now. Maybe I should just try the chain saw tactic.
