    Pa.'s Second Lady verbally accosted

There are two different issues here. The attack on Mrs. Fetterman was downright wrong and racist. There is no place for it in a civilized society. I wish someone had stood up in her defense . In my opinion, , " They can dish it out but can't take it" comment is inaccurate if addressed to her. She was dishing nothing out. Has anyone ever witnessed her dishing it out? But, but but she is a Democrat. First, she is a human being.

People who spend hours together working are not going to social distance for breaks. If you think it's just Wal-Mart you better do some research and see how many businesses have employees who distance at all from eachother.

The truth is, a woman was called the n word for simply going to the grocery store. Trying to justify that appalling behavior with some political party he said/she said article is quite simply disgusting. Call a spade a spade. End of story.

    DNH: Serious mask question

No it doesn't. It prolongs what will eventually happen. Your line of thinking is erroneous. Slowing the spread, "flattening the curve", was thrown around a lot as a way to save lives. If hospitals become overwhelmed they can't possibly treat or have enough equipment for the influx of patients. At NO time was a single Pennsylvania health care facility in danger of this happening. In fact, except for a very few areas this was never a concern. In fact the President you so love to bash as doing nothing sent hospital ships to those areas...that weren't used or were used ineffectively by local leaders. He also made sure ventilators were produced so there would not be a lack of equipment. At no time did any of these mandates save a life...the personnel, equipment, and facilities were there, available, and not in danger. You and Biden have much in common, are you related?

Hopefully she doesn't go anywhere else without her security. In this day and age--why even attempt it? Smells a wee bit of a political stunt that the one time she doesn't have her detail she gets harassed--in an area that has tons of darker skinned people than her and probably few people that know exactly who she is--heck I ran into someone that seemed to know me at Martin's the other day that I still don't know who they were thanks to masks--(before you jump down my throat: I WAS wearing one!!) but I'm definitely not going to call her a liar. `\_(",)_/`

Condoms are an excellent form of birth control, 98% effective when used correctly. Effectiveness drops 15-20% when they aren’t used perfectly. That’s why we all know someone with an “oops” baby. Masks are a lot like that, which is why it’s better if everyone uses them. It helps protect you from the person that’s constantly readjusting their mask or pulls it down to speak, or wears it as a chin strap when they’re not close to people. The same people that can’t figure out how to put a condom on but expect to not have a baby. It’s pretty obvious that usage wasn’t perfect, just like it’s not perfect at Walmart, Sheetz, the area schools, etc. etc. etc.

https://jordanschachtel.substack.com/p/cdc-85-of-covid-19-patients-report CDC: 85% of COVID-19 patients report ‘always’ or ‘often’ wearing a mask Americans are wearing masks, but masks aren't working. Jordan Schachtel 10 hr 6 53 An underreported, recently-published CDC study adds to the pile of evidence that cloth masks or other forms of mandated face coverings only contribute negatives to our COVID-19 problem. The study also displays — despite the constant accusations of widespread misbehavior from public health officials — that Americans are adhering to mask wearing, but mask wearing is not doing us any good. The CDC study, which surveyed symptomatic COVID-19 patients, has found that 70.6% of respondents reported “always” wearing a mask, while an additional 14.4% say they “often” wear a mask. That means a whopping 85% of infected COVID-19 patients reported habitual mask wearing. Only 3.9% of those infected said they “never” wear a face covering. The study offers insight into the reality that tens of thousands of Americans are acquiring COVID-19 on a daily basis despite overwhelming adherence to mask wearing. Masks simply aren’t working to “slow the spread” or “stop the spread.” The study also dismisses “public health experts’” claims from individuals such as Dr. Anthony Fauci and others that Americans are not following the guidance being disseminated by the CDC and other disease control agencies. Americans are following the CDC guidance. It’s just not working. As you can see in the screenshot below, the symptomatic group (left) mirrors the control group (right). The study fails to provide any evidence that COVID-19 infection protection is associated with mask wearing. In fact, given the lack of separation between the symptomatic group and the control group, it provides evidence that masks do absolutely nothing to stop the spread of COVID-19. The study directly contradicts mask assertions advanced by CDC director Robert Redfield, who claimed in a recent hearing that a cloth mask is “more guaranteed to protect me against COVID than when I take a COVID vaccine."

Fact. A woman of color was called the n word. It was caught on camera for all to see. Fact. You make an attempt to justify such behavior by bringing up an article that also shows racism and ignorant behavior. Fact. You have yet to state that the racial attack on Fetterman's wife was wrong. You want to see hypocrisy? Take a look at those facts, and then take a good long look in the mirror.

Yeah you specifically said my wannabe President. My own husband doesn’t know my voting history. You certainly don’t. Again, just because you’re obsessed with the idea of a political battlefield doesn’t mean everyone behaves that way. Some of us are just trying to be decent, caring human beings.

Fair enough, but folks outside of the area and Pennsylvania visit this site. Glad your vote was safe. However, it does happen where criminal acts take place in regard to mail-in voting. Seems like there are two media reports a day where there has been an issue. I personally would not mail-in my vote because I can be bought (persuaded) in the weeks leading up to voting day.

Fedup: In my nearly twenty years on this site, I have never stated my political party or supported a candidate. Not a single time. You have no idea who I’m voting for, and my beliefs about masks have nothing to do with politics. I have a mom with pre-existing conditions, and I’m primary caregiver for my kids. I do what is reasonable to keep my loved ones safe. What’s happening in the White House is not part of my thought process at all.

I got one in the mail for a deceased relative. Relax: I destroyed it. Serious question: what about the people in nursing homes? How will they vote? Did a family member request an absentee ballot? How will it get to them? Will someone be appointed to help them vote? How do we know it will be someone that will honor that person's wishes?

This is actually a really great example of people not necessarily understanding each other. Let’s say I go to Aldi’s as my first stop. I put on my mask before I go in the store. After I leave Aldi’s and head over to Walmart, I SHOULD leave my mask on. I shouldn’t touch it until I am done with my errands and I’m ready to go home. Then it goes in a bag, and I clean my hands again. People who take their masks on and off, and/or don’t wash it every time they use it, aren’t doing it correctly.

    MAIL IN BALLOTS:

The video finds fault with Universal Mail-in voting. Ballots mailed out to all voters. Pennsylvania doesn't have this. You have to request a ballot. We received APPLICATIONS for a mail in ballot. Three in all from thee different organizations helping people to vote by mail if they wished. We applied. We received notification by email from the elections office that our application was received and would be getting a mail in ballot. When the ballot was sent out to us we also received notification. My wife and I voted yesterday. We brought our ballots to the Elections Office at the Courthouse. We left the Postal Service out of it. The lady in the office told us to put them in the box in the hall. Simple as that. The wife works later in the evenings sometimes and has to rush to the voting site to vote. Easiest voting we ever did. In the evening we received an email from the Elections office informing us our ballots were received and would be processed: "Your ballot has been received by ELK County on 10/12/2020. Your ballot status has been updated to reflect your official ballot has been received timely and recorded." They included a phone number to call if I had any questions. Nothing nefarious. Our votes were cast by us and will be counted.

I guess i have to be the one to remind people of the truth. Maxine Waters encourages supporters to harass Trump administration officials Washington (CNN)Rep. Maxine Waters called on her supporters to publicly confront and harass members of the Trump administration in response to the "zero tolerance" policy that led to the separation of families at the border. The California Democrat and vehement critic of President Donald Trump made the comments on Saturday, first at a rally in Los Angeles and later in a television interview. The comments, which come after several Trump administration officials have been recently protested at restaurants, have raised fresh questions about the state of American political discourse and were seized on by Trump for political gain. "Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere. We've got to get the children connected to their parents," Waters said at the Wilshire Federal Building, according to video of the event. "We don't know what damage has been done to these children. All that we know is they're in cages. They're in prisons. They're in jails. I don't care what they call it, that's where they are and Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this," she added. Waters appeared on MSNBC later in the day to double down on her remarks, saying she has "no sympathy" for members of the Trump administration. "The people are going to turn on them. They're going to protest. They're going to absolutely harass them until they decide that they're going to tell the President, 'No, I can't hang with you.'" close dialog

As well as the fact that she has been legal for a couple decades. Blaming the current administration doesn't help. The issue has been here through many presidents and will be through many more. You can't fix stupid or stop them from teaching their stupid to their own children.
