  2. Prayers and Condolences to the family, so sorry for your loss.
  3. Cemetaries have so much history, this is where you can find out so much information, as many families are always near by.
  4. Wow good for you, you really do have a green thumb.
  5. Got to be pictures out there somewhere, ask around and post would be great to see.
  6. I cut back my Rododendrom bush and I have cuttings if anyone is interested. I will only keep them for a while longer then throw them out if no takers. PM me if interested.
  7. Here is a site of different plants to keep Ticks away: http://www.ehow.com/info_8759217_plants-keep-ticks-away.html?fb_comment_id=fbc_10150485138748633_22546701_10150707999618633#f1a75bcc406756c
  8. You may want to check with the Historical Society, I would think they would.
  9. Love the photo's Thank You for sharing.
  10. Hats off to whom ever mowed the grass at the cemetary. I came by yesterday and it really looked nice. Thank You
  11. Wow how cool is that, good eye Rich. Wish we knew the names of the others there.
  12. This is not the only cememtary that is not being taken care of. Reynoldsville Cememtary named after the town as well was a disgrace at Memorial Day. The grass had not been done at all. A fee is taken when you are buried there for perpetual care, this is a disgrace that these cemetaries are not being cared for.
  13. I was very disappointed to see the cemetary not mowed at Memorial Day. After doing 6 other gravesites, I wasn't able to plant my flowers as the grass was too high. Very sad to see this. I would think the city of DuBois would have helped with the maintainance of the cemetary as it is the one of the oldest cememtaries in our town and being it's close location to the city and one of the many attractions of our town it would be maintained.
  14. As check the books at the library of the History of these areas, this would be another avenure to help you.
  15. As remarkable as it may sound, the cemetaries where these gentlemen are buried would be the first place I wold look. This has helped me in so many of my searches. Keep a journal of people related to them, and go from there. You will find their children if any or any other close relatives. Google their names and locations. I will help if I can.
  16. Hats off to Sekula Signs for doing such a beautiful job. Looks GREAT.
  17. I know mine are coming through as well, can't wait for the daffodils to start too. Finally bring on the sun and warmer temps.
  18. The group is in operation, with a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month and meet at the Historical Society at 4pm. They are in need of volunteers to help with the project, if you are will to help stop at the meeting and volunteer. There is a page on facebook for those interested, it is: Rumbarger Cemetery Preservation Society, DuBois, PA
