Got ours off of Amazon, that is the cheapest we could get them. Zoe would keep them on right after her back surgery but once she started feeling better she would not. We just lost her 3 weeks ago to stage 4 kidney disease, I had a couple left and one night really wanted her to sleep with us because I knew the end was coming, when I woke in AM she still had it on and I told my husband she is really sick if she left it on.

We have a "double dapper" Dachshund. Our Zoe is black, brown and white, short haired. Her father was brown and mother was black both were short haired. She had a sister long haired, black & white and a brother short haired brown. Go figure????

OMG..my son and d-I-law live 2 hrs away you would think we were on the other side of the country. I reminded him when he lived in DuBois it never bother him to jump in the car and drive to P-burgh for ballgame,concert or just to hang out and drive back in the same day.

Our Holly Bushes look terrible this year, very little green (just around the bottom) and our 22 rose shrubs are even worst. The Rhodys are starting to bloom but the leaves are not as green a they have been in the past. Our rose shrubs have always been in bloom by the middle of June, because we use to laugh they were always the best when we were away at the June Pocono race. Our orange azalea was beautiful but the rain pretty much did it in today. I'm assuming the holly & roses are because of the winter we had??? In fact by husband pretty much wants to pull them all out, I'm trying to tell him to be patience.

Can tell you they are slow growing but they love sunshine. My in-laws have them sprouting up all over their yard (and have for yrs). When we built our new house (9 yrs ago) we have transplanted from their yard, probably 10 along our property line and the ones that get full sun have grown more than the others. They have a lot of meaning since they were one of my mother-in-laws favorite and to know we have them from their yard means a lot.

Our DASHCHUND is blind and still knows when the sun is shining through the front door and wants the door open no matter the temp outside.

Definitely daylillies, I have quite a few all around my yard. Other years mine have bloomed in July & August. This year they are all about done, don't know why...guess the weather. I have different colors, some people don't like them but I do, just wish they lasted longer. In the fall I will cut them down for the winter.

Does anyone have a recipe for a good punch for a bridal shower? Would like to have it pink in color since the wedding colors are pink & brown. Cannot use pineapple in the punch because of an allergy. Thank !

I would contact a local landscaping company and see what advice they can give you..they may even be willing to remove the plants, store them, and replant them for you.

The rabbits have drove hubby and I crazy the last two years. This year we have two so far and the only thing they are going after is a rose shrub but we have been able to keep them on the move. We tried everything we could but nothing seemed to work. I did try dial soap in a knee hi stocking, tied them toward the bottom of the tree and believe it or not that seemed to work better than anything but never was able to keep them completely away. They really did a job on all our landscaping the last two years. There has been a stray cat we have seen a couple times maybe it is keeping them away. Last spring we had some hawks flying around and they definitely took care of them. Our holly bushes (we have nine) look terrible this year. Don't know what happen but they look like they are dying off. Some have a few healthy leaves but not many. GOOD LUCK!

No bamboo, actually we don't have any neighbors on that side of us yet. We have watched enough of HGTV to know what a pain bamboo can be.

We're looking for something to put on our side embankment, to cover the erosion. There is shade and does not get a lot of water. We have a split rail fence there but wanted to plant something along the fence since there is erosion. Any ideas? Would hostas work?

Heh Petee, I have Nun's caps, Forget me Nots and Lillies of the Valley in my flower garden, should I cut them back for the winter? I have already cut back my day lillies. The Nun's Caps have really spread this past summer.

I know you can plant mums outside, but yesterday my son asked if they will come up again next year or they considered annuals. If you can leave them in the ground for next year, do you cut them back later in the fall like you do day lillies?

Our neighbor across the street (on McCracken Run Road AKA "snake alley") have beautiful ones around their light pole. Last week I saw a car stopped in front kinda with headlights in yard. I went out on the porch and there were two deer (8 pt & 6 pt) just eating away I could actually hear them tearing them out. You should have seen the black-eyed susan's the next day! Yes we also have deer in Snake Alley...they evidently are not from TL because they have way too much meat on them. Hubby and I have watched them for the last 4-6 weeks, they will often bed down in the woods beside or behind our house. We have watched the racks grow, it's amazing seeing them walk through the thick woods and not get tangled in the trees.

We have times when we are over run by "chippys"...a few are okay and we enjoy watching them. Hubby has been known to name a few Unfortunately the only thing we have done to take care of them (beside getting a cat) is putting D-Con out. We have a dog so I am really careful where I put the D-Con. The only thing we haven't tried is getting a cat, hubby and I don't like cats so that is not an option..beside the cat would have to live outside and we really don't like that.

Thanks lavender..when I looked info up on web we are almost sure that is what we have. Neighbor next door doesn't mow his grass except about 2 x per summer after I turn him into the city then he leaves the cut grass lay, his yard looks like a hay field before they make the bales. They certainly have made a mess of our side yard!!!:tant:

Now that the snow is all melted we noticed our side yard has like a maze dug into it. It is just like the top layer of grass, not actually dug in the ground. I wouldn't think it would be a mole because they dig under ground. I thought I saw something about this on here but must have been in the newspaper. I know this doesn't give a lot of info but anybody have any ideas??? :-/ ??)

We have more robins this year than we have seen in years. The doves are driving us crazy, never minded a couple pairs but now we are up to about 6-7 PAIRS!

Crock-Pot Stuffed Peppers 6 Green Peppers (Washed & cut tops off, clean seeds from inside of peppers) 1 lb Lean Ground Beef (Browned, season w/salt, pepper and onion powder, drain) 4 cups Cooked Minute Rice 1 Can of diced flavored tomatoes (14 1/2 oz size) 1 Can of diced plain tomatoes (14 1/2 oz size) 2 Cans of tomato sauce (8 oz) Mixed browned ground beef, rice, flavored tomatoes, and one can of tomato sauce together. Stuff green peppers with meat mixture. Lightly coat the inside of the crock pot with cooking spray for easy cleanup. Placed filled peppers in the slower cooker. Pour the can of plain diced tomatoes and one can of tomato sauce evenly over the peppers. Cook 6 to 8 hours on low-heat setting or 3 to 4 hours on high setting. Often times I will make Spanish Rice and will use the left over Spanish rice to make the stuffed peppers.
