  1. Yes, that worked...interesting..it's a member of the cactus family.
  2. I couldn't get the link to play. It only blooms once and at night? Wow...that adds to the allure and exclusiveness. Do you have a blooming party? Can you tell exactly what night it will bloom? How long does the bloom last?
  3. Scrapple...I know what's in it, so I don't eat it.
  4. It must have been before my time.
  5. Maybe forgive, but don't forget....does that work for ya?
  6. I love rhubarb pie, so I wanted to be sure if it was one and the same. It grew in my grandmother's yard, and it just grew naturally, with no help from anyone, so far as I knew.
  7. Is RHUBARD anything like RHUBARB?
  8. Very interesting Metzlof....The theater was reached by a long lobby, as shown in the maps. There were shops on both sides of the lobby, in the same building, as shown in the 1913 map, though not accessible from the theater lobby.
  9. The lady on the sidewalk has clothing typical of the 1890's era, with the long skirt, and hat. Is my guess.
  10. I think you are right. The First Methodist Church had the steeple, that was removed, at some point. The large square building with the "box" on top, was definitely the Avenue Theater, which was on Long Avenue, down the hill, and across from the church. The "box" on top of the theater housed the stage curtain, when it was raised and lowered. The picture may have been taken from a upper floor of a home on the upper side of Brady Street, near Weber Ave.
