  1. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am starting my one genealogy/historical research service. If you are interested please check out this link.http://www.westernparoots.com
  2. No she didnt but her grandmother's family did.
  3. My grandmother was at the hospital the other day when she began talking to a woman in the waiting room. They soon realized that they had some history in common concerning the West Liberty area. This woman has a copy of a diary that had belonged to the midwife in that area and it is full of historical information concerning the births in the West Liberty area. This would be of considerable value to my family history research. However, she left without thinking to catch the name of the woman. If anyone knows such a person, could they please let me know?
  4. You have to consider the economic value of preservation. Look at what Brookville has done. The buildings are not only restored but they are again useful and profitable. The state of Pennsylvania offers tax breaks and incentives for people willing to restore a building to a useful state I will have to look up the legislation to state it correctly but I just read an article on it two days ago.
  5. I wholeheartedly agree. Look at cities in Europe they are centuries older than our own and yet they find no problem keeping them restored and maintained the US destroyed the city of Wurzburg in WWII we took it upon ourselves under the Marshall plan not only to rebuild it but rebuild it exactly as it had been before the war. Surely if we can do that in someone elses country we can do that in our own.
  6. Our cat Hunter passed away last night. I'm not even sure why. He got sick yesterday afternoon and then had a massive seizure around midnight. I don't know how we will wake up in the mornings now, he was our living alarm clock. Hunter T. Cat May 2006 - August 2007
  7. This is Christy's Pongo Princess 1995 - 2004 We Miss her terribly... And Kimber (the first family dog we had as kids) 1990-1999
