Looks like the Chief is involved. He was the courier of the money from Toni Cherry to the bank. Plus he and herm were unduly trying to influence Sheetz to drop charges against Randy Schmidt. The Chief should be put on administrative leave until this is sorted out. I know the Sheetz women who they approached. Shes no nonsense. Good for her going to the State Police.

redmill reacted to Petee in Nasuti
At the petition signing, we had a gentleman rush up to sign it because he was excited to do so. He commented that he has spent his life as a Forensic Auditor, working for the government and businesses from the largest to the smallest. His comment on the DuBois situation is that he would never touch it because it's a nightmare.
I would guess that Nasuti feels the same.

redmill reacted to Polo in Arrest of Dubois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio
I don't think they should pay out another penny. They need to wait and see how things come out. If he comes out innocent, then reinstate him or pay a settlement. If he's guilty, notta. (meaning not a darn cent)

Nadler just said " it`s all fiction , nothing missing , no one to blame "

What I'm confused about is why would the City be obligated to pay out an employment contract if the employee was in breach of the contract? Said employee is not performing the assisgned duties, so, contract is breached, therefore, no payout.

Because the degenerate solicitor Ms Cherry has convinced the council it would be in their best interest to do so. She could care less what us common folk taxpayers think. It's all about her and the former deadbeat manager.

Another 7 months on the lamb. Anybody else would have been arraigned sooner. And to give a guess why the council is protecting Herm? Remember the infamous trip to Vegas with Scarnati to get campaign money. Then he got landslided in the PRIMARY. Paybacks are tough. Including his followers.

Invest his payoff ( as game shows do for 10+ yrs. ) in a very great special CD at Nexther or S un T banks where the Mgr. will hook you up.

You mean like enough time to look the other way and play dumb while the city manager (and others to be named soon) steals from the city?

I’m a tax payer. I need to know that any elected official has the time to properly complete their civil duty.

He most likely would have had to seek the permission of his employer to pursue this avenue. Many employers need to make sure their employees aren't going to engage in any conflicts of interest--unlike our city government apparently. *Even those that aren't employed by a law firm. Employers don't want their name on the line when things implode.

Yes, we can blame them. They could have seen it was wrong and said no. It wasn't offered to one - Shannon Gabriel -but offered to others who were appointed afterwards to fill vacant seats (Dietz) - and seemed to be done in secret. Even if it is allowed by the state, it should be a point brought up to the people who accepted it. Why wasn't it public knowledge? Why wasn't it offered across the board to all council? How did they feel this was a savings for the taxpayers by having us pay for their insurance? (Most have decent jobs that offer insurance or are on Medicare. What were they thinking?)
Then, there is the issue of council getting in on the municipal pensions. How is that a thing?

He’s a corporate attorney. Doesn’t have individual clients and won’t be quitting his day job.

Yeah. Remote is saving a lot of COMPANIES money. However, imagine contacting this “big Pittsburgh attorney” in DuBois and setting up a meeting to discuss your deepest issues, just to find out that you get to sit in his living room with his kids running around. Now that’s confidential and professional!! Apparently he doesn’t like being an attorney much considering this is already the second public office he has tried to get on in the last couple years.
