  4. My grandma cooked groundhog once....it filled the entire house with a smell worse than a cooked skunk...well she never cooked skunk....but she lived through the depression and was VERY VERY frugal

  13. My diplodenias and mandevilla (tropicals) are still alive and BLOOMING on our deck right now as I speak!!! as well as 2 lilies bloomed yesterday!!! This is really strange!! What will the winter bring??
  14. we have lost 3 dogs over the years and we have 3 little urns on a stand in my bedroom..it is sad to even think about them, but I am glad their ashes are near.
  15. wow!!!!! Thanks for all your help!!!! Debating whether to make crabapple jelly in September as our tree is in glorious bloom!!!! How many of you eat crabapple jelly?????? I only like strwberry; have a dear friend taht likes it and that is the only reason I make it.....takes hours to do it!!!!
  16. I have several now "dead" daffodils in my yard. Question: Should I cut them OFF ....OR double them up with a rubber band so the "seeds" fall into the soil? I have seen them doubled over before but wondered why since it is the bulbs that multiply???
