Every safety rule/law has come as a result of blood, broken bones, and deaths of workers.

God forbid companies and businesses are proactive instead of reactive when it comes to employee safety, health, and life.

Deals like this proves that profit is above the well being of the employees....

Head to any of the coal burning power plants around the area and look at the fly ash "mountains" built around them. Fly ash has been used in cement, cement block, flow fill, and various other things for many years.

As far as the radioactivity in fly ash. You have been exposed to more radiation to various things in your home and things you eat on a daily basis. Have stone or marble counter tops or tile in your home? Guess what your're living with a radioactive source everyday.....

Yes it happened early this morning and again this afternoon. I'm using Chrome too.

The last few days I have been having problems off and on getting on here. Either it is taking forever to load, get a message saying connection was timed out, or a DNS server error. Is there an issue Boss Man or is it on my end. I'm using Comcast high speed internet and cleaned out my history etc and it still happening.

Have seen OSHA fine companies $3k to $7k for ground plugs missing on extension cords.

This $12k fine is a slap in the face to the man that died, his family, and every employee at the landfill. Like I said many, many posts ago this area of PA is the most underhanded corrupt place I have ever seen and this just proves it again!!

Just like everything else with dogs you have to train them and be patient. A few tasty bribes along the way helps too. 

He is a Frisbee catching nut so I used those to keep his mind off the Doggles and it has worked pretty well. He'll still paw at them or roll around on the ground trying to get them off sometimes but as long as he has his mind on a task he leaves them alone.

My German Shepherd like every dog loves to ride in the truck with his head out the window and loves to run on the trails when we ride bikes. I worry he gets nailed in the eyes with something. Found these Doggles on the internet and they work great!! Look cool too!!

LFG this area of Pa is so corrupt it's pathetic. In my half a century + living in this area I have seen so many things swept under the rug that it would make you puke. The old saying that money, influence, and your name buys you blindness, silence, and deafness is the golden rule around here.......

IF Advance actually has these "videos" why the heck isn't DEP and OSHA flexing some muscle by going to a Judge to demand they turn over said "video" evidence for their investigation.

Black birds are notorious for pulling the leaves off pepper plants. Don't know what they get out of it or why they do it??

I have greenies to that I have used just not religiously. With three dogs it was to expensive. The parsley is cheaper by far 

If you ever go to Petco or Pet Smart they have stuff you add to their water that takes care of it too.

Also we brush our German Shepherd's teeth twice a day. He actually loves it!! 

Worst place I've been for ticks was Bell Twp, Westmoreland County. 

 

In a 1 mile long utility easement(split into two sections) along Nelson Rd I picked off 50-60 ticks - 2 months ago when it was still a winter mix of weather.

 

I picked off more ticks in that single day than all the ticks in my life combined.   It was so bad that I stripped down to my undies in the middle of the road after getting out of the easement to do a tick check.    Then had the old lady check me over again once I got home.

They do have a different taste, and they are more lean, but a dressed chicken costs less at the store than I can grow one that size for. Hybrid chickens can get to butcher size in 7-8 weeks, my purebred take 4-5 months. I would still process them just because I always have too many roosters, but my wife ain't having it

Never heard of Green Mountain.

. We still use AdAdvantix II. The only one we don't use anything on is Chi Chi, she only weights 7#'s.

It is a spray you use on yourself and pets when you're outside or walking in the woods.

Like OFF but no nasty chemicals.

We have been using Green Mountain tick repellent for about two months now and it is working very well and smells good too!

It is all natural and safe for pets.

Look at all the people nowadays that fly to the doctor or urgent care as soon as they or their kids get a little runny nose.

Been leaving butter out on the counter for as long as I can remember. Store bought or homemade salted or unsalted it all sat out.

And it too bad azzed fast for the NHRA so they banned it from competition!! 

Boss lady wants some raised beds built for planting veggies.

Heading to the sawmill and going to get some 2x12 Hemlock planks and 1x4 Hemlock boards to trim the top. Going to make the boxes 4'x8'

The question I have is what is your "recipe" for the best soil mix for the boxes? Have been reading peoples various mixes on the web that range from using zero soil to a mixture of soil, compost, and various other things.
