  1. So, so sad. She was always a breath of fresh air on here and just a nice person. God Speed Jennifer..... This has been a really bad day as I got a call this afternoon that a friend and fellow co-worker passed away in his sleep last night.
  2. Beautiful dog!! Is it an Australian Shepherd mix??? Sure has the markings of one.
  3. Bon what did the PGC have to say about the deal??
  4. That's one of their money makers!! I bet the'd be there in a hurry.
  5. Bon did you give the PGC a call and report that?? Would probably be a good idea.
  6. Question. Is the egg hot or cold when that is done??

    ugly weiner!

Heck may as well keep up with this weeks theme....... Maybe a pitweiner or maybe weinerpit??
  8. Revolution has the flea/worm drops for kittens 0 to 5 pounds. I would check with the vet before you use them to make sure there are no issues with the meds it was just given. Unless someone else knows where they sell Revolution locally other than a vets office I have never been able to find it in any area stores or pet stores between Dubois and Indiana.
  9. Our little queen giving me the stink eye. Dang it dad turn up the heat my nose is cold!!!
  10. It's a little pricey but Revolution flea/worm drops are IMO the best on the market. Our cat had worms at about one year old and after the worm medicine from the vet we started using the drops and she hasn't had worms since. She has been a house cat since she was a kitten and has never been outside. I asked the vet how she could have gotten worms being a house cat and she said they could come from the potting soil in your house plants, come in on dirt on your shoes/cloths if you're around other cats that have worms, or even flies.
  11. Our German Shepherds (rest in peace) loved the Winter and the colder the better. They would go outside and lay in the snow on the coldest days of the year and would stay out there all day if we let them. The male laid outside one day we were having a pretty good snow storm and we couldn't find him. Well the goof ball finally decided to get up when we were calling him and he was covered with snow and looked at us like what the heck I was right here the whole time. Man I miss those two!! Me and the wife have been talking quite a bit and it sounds like it's time to have a new family member or two.
  12. My father has been pruning his apple trees like the one above for many decades as he was taught by his parents and grand parents and I have been pruning mine the same way for over 20 years. It may be the wrong way or we have gotten lucky all these years but it works for us. Our apple trees had so many apples this past season that we had to give many 5 gallon buckets away so they didn't go to waste. Right or wrong it has worked for us.
  13. It's dark or I'd take a picture of our apple tree but here's one I found on the net that looks about like how we trimmed ours.
  14. Dogg you didn't over do it. For as long as I can remember our apple trees have always been trimmed like that. Mine will look like that late Fall early Winter. Grandma always said she wanted to be able to throw a baseball through without hitting a limb.
  15. That's the problem Bon.... When you want to take close up photos or night time photos you should use a tripod and an off camera or remote shutter release trigger or the timer shutter release that your camera has built in to it. When taking close ups or night photos (without going into all the technical settings and terms) the camera will pick up all the movement of you trying to hold the camera and give blurry/out of focus photos.
  16. Here's how we make ours.... 1 pound hamburger, 1 pound pork country/sweet sausage, 2 cups cooked rice, sauteed onions and garlic(lots of garlic), black pepper, and chopped fresh parsley. Mix all together and form into a loaf then wrap the loaf in bacon. Cook at 350 to 160 degree internal temp. We use ketchup, honey, real maple syrup, and a touch of cinnamon for the glaze.
  17. This Sunday on Animal Planet is the new season opener of Finding Bigfoot where they head to Kentucky and get help from the Turtle Man who claims to have seen a Squatch. Bobo and the Turtle Man on the same episode!! Should have my sides splitting and the boss lady yelling at me for laughing so hard listening to those two yahoos!!
  18. My grandmother passed at a young 92 years old and my father is now 75 and he said grandma talked about canning jelly and juice before my dad was born so that arbor has been there over 75 years. In my near 50 years I can remember rebuilding it twice. As far as I can remember those are the original purple grape vines except for the white grape vines that we planted when I was a teenager.
  19. My fathers has a grape arbor that is six 6x6 posts with frame work built on top. Its dimensions are about 16'x16' - 7' high with a cement pad built underneath. Very easy to pick the grapes and also serves as an excellent shady place to sit under and eat outside in the Summer. He keeps them trimmed back as needed.
  20. Don't forget the flour, olive oil, garlic/onion powder, and frying pan!! Good eats!!!
  21. Don't know if this site or person could help you out or not. Some really neat historical post cards from DuBois. http://www.duboispostcardhistory.com/
  22. You're terrible Dogg!!! LMAO!!! :2fun: Let the sleeping Rooster be Dogg!!
  23. The floor may be level but did you check the washing machine to see if it's level?? It doesn't take much to throw these high speed front loaders out of whack. Ours had to be dead on level both ways. Front to back and side to side. Also depending on what kind of floor you have it on you may want/need to put the washer legs on some heavy non-slip rubber.
