  1. Doritos recently changed their packaging. Now a smaller ounces per bag. I really hate that these companies think consumers are morons. Just keep it the same & increase the price, let me decide if I want to still buy your product. Don't try to fool me.
  2. For a front load washer about 1-2 Tbsp. It doesn't take much. If you have an older top load probably about 1/4 cup.
  3. For soap scum remover, great on shower walls & tub 1 cup white vinegar, heated in microwave about 3 squirts blue dawn dish soap Put into a spray bottle Spray onto tub/ shower let sit 15-30 minutes Wipe down walls & rinse. (This is a little pungent, so keep the kids & pets back) Add a drop or two of peppermint extract from the kitchen it helps a little. Love this! I won't be buying anymore tilex etc.
  4. I recently made this one and added a bottle of the Downy scent booster. I think I can live with this recipe. The oxy clean really helps with the boy smell.
  5. Opening doors let's evil in...I wonder how much is mental illness and how much is demonic.
  6. Read 90 minutes in Heaven. I have an aunt who was a very religioius good hearted soul, almost a saint compared to most. She described the same things before her passing, a small glimpse of what was to come. She left behind 4 children her youngest was 9 years old unable to walk and in a wheelchair with cerebral palsy. Heaven must have been pretty amazing to leave her family just a few days before Christmas.
  7. Chicken Gnocchi Soup (Like Olive Garden) 1 tablespoons extra virgin oil 4 tablespoons butter 4 tablespoons flour 1 quart half and half 1/2 cup celery, finely diced 1 cup onion, finely diced 2 minced garlic cloves 2 14 ounce cans of chicken broth if you enjoy thick soup, use one can 1 cup carrots, finely shredded 1 cup chicken breasts, cooked and diced (you can use a rotisserie chicken) yes, buy the rotisserie chicken 1 package gnocchi, cooked (you can find these in gourmet/pasta section of the grocery store - you may want to cut the gnocchi in half if it is large, or purchase the mini size if available) (or make yours from scratch, easy & better tasting, see recipe below) 1 cup of fresh spinach coarsely chopped 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon thyme 1/2 teaspoon parsley 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional) Instructions Saute the onion, celery, and garlic in the butter and olive oil over medium heat until the onion becomes translucent. Add the flour and make a roux. Let the butter and flour mixture cook for about a minute before adding 1 quart of half and half. Cook gnocchi according to package directions. Into the roux, add in the carrots and chicken. Once the mixture becomes thick, add the chicken broth. Once the mixture thickens again, add the cooked gnocchi, spinach, and seasoning; simmer until soup is heated through. Before serving season to taste by adding additional salt. Homemade Ricotta Gnocchi 8 oz. Ricotta Cheese 2 eggs 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan Cheeese 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1 cup all-purpose flour, or as needed Stir together the ricotta, eggs, Parmesan Cheese, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a large bowl until evenly combined. Mix in 1 cup of flour, add additional flour if needed to form a soft dough. Divide dough into 3 or 4 pieces and roll into 1/2 thick ropes (like a snake). Cut into 1 inch pieces and roll off the back of a fork to indent lines on gnocchi. Place on floured baking sheet in frig until ready to use. To cook, bring large pot of water to boil, add the gnocchi cook 1-2 minutes until it floats to the top.
  8. 7 up Biscuits (These are amazing, with a little garlic powder, parsley & cheddar cheese they remind me of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits) 2 cups Bisquick 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup 7up or other clear fizzy soda 1/4 cup melted butter To make like cheddar bay biscuits add to dough: 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp dried parsley (add to remaining half of butter, to brush on tops) In large bowl, mix together the Bisquick and sour cream, then add the 7 up. Dough will be very wet. Melt half of the butter in a cast iron skillet and drop dough by rounded spoonfuls into butter. Bake in cast iron skillet if possible, if not use glass baking dish. Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Brush tops with remaining half of butter Make these! You won't be disappointed.
  9. 1 cup Cascade Powder Hottest Tap Water 5 gallon bucket Mix the Cascade powder in 5 gallon bucket of hottest tap water, Stir to dissolve, add clothes. Soak overnight then laundry as usual. For yellow armpit stained T-shirts & dingy whites. Will make them white again! I tried this & it works!
  10. White vinegar also works great on stains. Just got a new front load washer, I checked my stockpile of laundry soap & it all says it is safe for HE machines. So don't get fooled into thinking you have to buy one brand.
  11. Maybe with some donations, they could replace some areas with other materials that would require less maintenance.
  12. Why even comment that you have relatives there? That not only shows laziness, but pure disrespect.
  13. Just a thought, Dubois High School has a requirement for volunteer work before you can graduate..How about some young, strong kids to help with the clean up..Maybe have an ongoing thing each year..They learn how to give back to their community & the cemetary could get lots of volunteers..
  14. Oven Roasted Zucchini Fries (Atkins friendly) 3 Medium zucchini~ washed and patted dry. 1/4 cup of olive oil variety of spices: tsp garlic powder, tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp salt/pepper tsp cumin, tsp oregano, chopped fresh rosemary (whatever your spice desires are) 2 tbsp parmesan cheese Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Take cookie sheet and rub thin coat of olive oil on surface. In a bowl throw all of your favorite spices and parmesan cheese to combine. Take the zucchini and cut in half length wise. cut the flesh out where the seeds are. discard this flesh. Slice zucchini into shoe string style slivers. like french fries. Put zucchini in bowl with spices and gently toss without breaking shoe strings. drizzle oil and toss to coat with spices and oil. Lay zucchini on cookie sheet, in one layer. Bake in 500 degree temp oven for 15-18 minutes until crisp. Serve with Garlic Mayo. Garlic Mayo 3 cloves garlic (minced) 1 cup Mayo 1/2 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice 1/4 tsp salt (optional) Whisk all ingredients together and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to combine. **Could also add cayenne pepper or hot sauce for spice.
  15. Peroxide sprayed onto the stain will help. I now use it everytime I was white Tee shirts. Just the bleach didn't work for us either.
