  1. Conspire against the humans... They're too cold to notice.
  2. This is not meant to be taken offensively in any way, but is he overweight? I see a lot of dogs at work with arthritis that end up worse off when their weight is an issue and I've seen it cause a wide variety of limb deformities and swelling. You should be able to feel a dogs ribs by lightly touching the sides, they shouldn't be entirely visible by looking at a pet, but you shouldn't have to push through a layer of fat to feel them either, there also should be a noticeable waistline from above and a slight tuck up when looking at the side. (I know this may be more difficult on a full coated dog.) Most vets don't bring up the weight issues unless they are asked because we in the pet industry have been verbally abused by customers more times tan not who think it's acceptable for a pet to be overweight even though we are seeing signs of concern.

  4. My grandma lived down below beulah land and had old graves in the end of their woods. I personally had a strange encounter when I was maybe 7 or 8. I walked my dog there on a daily basis but could never bring myself to go alone...
  5. Ham and Veggie Soup Medium Bone-in Ham End 5 Large Potatoes Cubed 6 Large Carrots Sliced 2 Cups Chopped Celery 1 Large Onion Sliced I throw everything in my crock and add enough water to cover the veggies then let it cook for about 5 hours on low until the ham starts falling apart. I prefer a bone in ham to help flavor everything. I also sprinkle some shredded cheddar in my bowl to eat it.
  6. I know my great grandma that was a Duttry lived in a huge white house at the dead end of a road in Sabula. I wish I knew more about that side of my family, but unfortunately don't.
  7. My grandma was a Duttry, and I'm also related to a few Bundys.
  8. Sorry to hear dyna. My boss has boxers and I'm bummed that one just broke his leg playing frisbee. I enjoy playing with love bugs known as boxers.
  9. No lie, try having grape vines in your back yard. Vinegar is not helping our fruit fly population.

  11. Add some powdered milk to your water. It's working for our garden.

  13. THANK YOU! Good fly spray isn't cheap! As for bathing dogs, I use it as a prewash. It gets rid of the grit and grime and the smell of the shampoo lasts longer. For the clients that come in every 4 weeks or less, I do tend to use it every other time so as not to irritate their skin.
  14. Liquid Butter. Whirl brand tastes the bet for wing sauces, just like Franks.

  16. Trying this one tonight... Baked Italian Whiting Fillets 1 1/2-2 lbs Whiting Fillets 1 quart Stewed Tomatoes in Juice Italian Bread Crumbs 1-2 eggs Olive Oil Garlic Powder Worcestershire Sauce Marinate fish fillets in Worcestershire sauce garlic powder. You can add more spices as you wish to cover up the stronger fish taste. Let it sit about 1/2 hour. Use the olive oil to coat the roaster. Coat the fillets in egg and Italian bread crumbs. Lay in a single layer in the roaster and fill space with stewed tomatoes and sauce. Cook at 425 degrees until fish is cooked to your liking. (Time depends on thickness of fillets.)
  17. My Thick and Chunky Chili Recipe Great with Venison! I have no real recipe I follow, but intend on making a thick, chunky chili. 2-3 pounds of ground beef or venison 8-10 tomatoes 5-6 large green peppers 2-3 medium onions 1-2 hungarian peppers (chopped finer) 2-3 jalape
  18. I tried my pork chop recipe on chicken and loved it so I thought I'd share Take boneless chicken and dip in olive oil then "bread" with a mixture of Cajun spices, meat tenderizer, pepper, and chili powder. Fry in butter until white on the outsides. Add vegetable broth into the frying pan and let simmer until cooked thoroughly. Tastes just as good with the pork chops.
