  1. Certainly hats off to the Rumbarger Cemetery Preservation Society which has devoted countless volunteer hours of their time over the last few years to renovating and maintaining the cemetery: Carol Laughlin, Mel Amrhein, Melanie McGinnis, Barb Kopshina,Carolyn Hossler Fridley, Dena Senior, Denny Laughlin, and Karen Amrhein. And also to those who donated money and labor, and those volunteers who have stepped-up to help including the city, Korb Monuments, FedEx, ComCast and Yardworks of Brockway. The cemetery today is a lasting tribute to the RCPS and their team effort.
  2. They do a great job. If you can go over and help on this day please do. They have done so well restoring the cemetery and it is all volunteer work. Hope you will pitch in and consider being part of it.
  3. That's nutt'n, I've seen a UFO land behind the Mall almost every Saturday night for the last two months on my way home from the Coyote Joe's. I keep forgetting my digital cam at home and I forgot how to use the camera on my cell phone. But, I really really did see it .... honest I did. How soon can I get on a TV show?
  4. Bigfoot Recorded at the Over the Mountain bar on Rockton Mt http://www.cartoonspot.net/looney-tunes/sound/Bugs01.wav Apparently this Bigfoot recording has been verified by Bobo as well as by local Bigfoot searchers
  5. Additional details on the web site. The wreath laying program at the cemetery is this Saturday http://rumbargercemetery.org/wreathsamerica.htm
  6. The Rumbarger Cemetery's restoration has been nothing short of remarkable. The Group doing all that work shoud be very, very proud of what they have accomplished. You can even see their web site at ; http://rumbargercemetery.org/index.htm Shows what can be done by people in our community when they are determined to make a difference.
  7. This is the grave in historic Rumbarger Cemetery of the mother of the famous Johnny Jones. It is one of hundreds of once neglected gravesites which are being cleaned and restored by the Rumbarger Cemetery Preservation Association. Visit their website http://rumbargercemetery.org and if you drive by look at the progress being made with a new cemetery entrance and sign.

  9. Here is a photo of the old Belnap Hotel on Main and 4th Streets in Reynoldsville. I don't know the exact year of this photo but it is likely the one TD is referring to although the spelling is different. The location is right
  10. Excellent. Must have been a great fellow, a good educator, and friend to students. He deserves to be remembered in an age when so much of our past gets shoved aside. Great to see him fremembered via the school song and the stadium. Well done.
