mr.d Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 New Dog Flu Strain Spreading APRIL 16, 2015(AP) More than 1,000 cases reported in midwestern U.S. The dog flu outbreak in the Midwest is growing. Health officials say more than a thousand cases of H3N2 have been reported in Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana and 6 dogs have died. The new flu strain is usually found in Asia and has never been seen in the U.S. It is highly contagious and can even be passed on to cats. Cough, fever and sluggishness are the first symptoms of this strain of dog flu.
