Robert was an active member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church, Christ the King Auxiliary, Shriners, 32nd degree Scottish Rite, Freemasons, American Legion, Tau Kappa Epsilon, and the Elks.  He enjoyed visiting cultural and historic sites in Europe and China, hiking while looking for birds and wildflowers, woodworking including dollhouse construction, and visiting with family.

Robert is survived by daughter Kara Martino of DuBois and her husband Dr. Gregory Martino; granddaughter Arianna Martino of DuBois; son John Worthington of Fredericksburg, Virginia; in-laws Richard and Judith Wagner of Somerset, Pennsylvania; as well as six nieces and nephews and their families.  Robert was preceded in death by his brother Dean Worthington and Dean's wife Jo of Scottsdale, Arizona; and in-laws Bobby and Marjorie Baugh of Athens, Ohio.
