Is Easter shopping really "essential"?

I think to a point, yes.  Children are not going to understand why the Easter bunny didn't come this year.  That said, perhaps the families that turn Easter into a mini-Christmas would consider scaling back the commercialism and start focusing on the real reason we celebrate the holiday.  A nice meal, a little treat, and family time is ideal--and truly all that is needed.

This all could be a blessing in disguise as it may cause some to turn back to considering what is most important.  I'd love to see stores start closing on Sundays.  We need to start focusing on people and not things.

I’m so disappointed of the human race and I really don’t like it anymore.

I've always assumed you were the youngster of the gang, even taking into account that at 47 I'm a whippersnapper here, but now I know you are younger than 30. Once you pass 30 your statement above is no longer a surprise, and after 40 you drop the "really" and "anymore"

Calliari's Bakery is handing out free bread. The Senior Center, I think, had free milk and someone anonymously was handing out free food on Jarad St. Those are just the ones I've run across in casual reading. There are still good people around. Too bad none of them are in government.

Be still, my fingers, be still.🍻

Well I’m above 30 lmao but thanks and it’s just disappointing to see how people are acting. People need to remember what respect is and dignity..

People need to use their manners and pride themselves on good behavior in public, especially at this time.  Notice that everything has gone this far peacefully and with a good process.  That should be the pride of our nation, that we take on an impossible task and make it work for the good.  We're Americans, and the world (even the haters) watch to see how we keep our freedom while  managing to sort things out without violence or selfishness.
