Jane M. Bonsall, Age 95 of Luthersburg, PA died Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Christ the King Manor.

 

Born on February 28, 1926 in Troutville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clair and Esther (Weisgarber) Bonsall.

 

On August 14, 1965, she married James H. Bonsall. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2016.

 

She retired as an elementary school teacher after 25 years of service working in both the Altoona and the DuBois Area School Districts. While in DuBois, she taught kindergarten at the Hubert Street School.

 

Jane was a member of Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ, the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, the DuBois Area School Retirees Association, the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, the Brady Grange #1218 and the Over 50 Club. She loved gardening, crocheting, music and enjoyed traveling. Above all, Jane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

 

She is survived by four nieces: Kathy Hartzfeld and Nancy London and her husband, Harold, both of Punxsutawney, PA; Margaret Bonsall of Youngstown, OH and Becky Anderson and her husband, Richard of DuBois, PA; two great nieces and five great nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by one nephew Wallace Bonsall.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. Social distancing requirements will be followed and masks are required.

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM from the funeral home with Pastor Audra Ferguson and Pastor Barry Fillman co-officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.
