PoliceBROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Police say child endangerment charges are pending after two toddlers were reported crossing a street unsupervised and crying at the door of an apartment.

Around 8:24 p.m. on April 24, two toddlers reportedly crossed Jenks Street to an apartment and began knocking and “crying for their mother.”

Police say bystanders then assisted the children upstairs to the apartment.

According to police, along with the involvement of Children and Youth Services (CYS), charges have been filed against two known women for endangering the welfare of children.

The names of the individuals charged were not released.
