police-day-time.jpgSNYDER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Charges have been filed against two individuals following a domestic altercation that occurred at a residence in Snyder Township on Sunday.

Court documents indicate the DuBois-based State Police filed criminal charges against 56-year-old Ned Carmen Caldwell and 50-year-old Shannon Gene Evans, both of Brockway.

According to a criminal complaint, around 7:40 p.m. on May 2, an altercation was reported at a residence on State Route 219 in Snyder Township.

According to the complaint, police discovered that Shannon Evans was attempting to gain entry to the residence through a back sliding glass door when Ned Caldwell grabbed her by the neck, resulting in red marks to the right side of her neck.

The complaint states it was also reported that while attempting to enter the residence, Evans scratched Caldwell’s face with her fingernails, causing three half-inch long cuts just under his left eye, on the side of his neck, and near his right eye.

Evans and Caldwell were arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana at 8:42 a.m. and 8:57 a.m., respectively, on May 3, on the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

They remain free on $5,000.00 unsecured bail each.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 25, with Judge Inzana
