Administrators Pompeii Posted May 10, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 10, 2021 Donald E. Wingert, Age 90 of Luthersburg, PA died Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital. Born on January 12, 1931 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Roy and Stella Wingert. Don was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean War. On October 14, 1956, he married his wife of 64 years, Betty Lyons Wingert. She survives. Don was the owner and operator of Wingert Farms. He was a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ and enjoyed wood working in his shop. He is survived by 2 sons (Denny Wingert & his wife Lisa, and Steve Wingert & his wife Libby, both of Luthersburg, PA), 3 grandchildren (John Wingert & his wife Mindy, and Lauren & Derek Wingert), a brother (Bernard Wingert & his wife Dorothy of Warren, PA), and a sister (Jean McGee & her husband Keith of Willingboro, NJ). He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Wingert. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. Masks are required. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. from St. Luke’s United Church of Christ with Pastor Bob Newell and Pastor Lance Tucker co officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
