PoliceWASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Criminal charges have been filed against an area man who allegedly broke into a residence and threatened two victims over a hard drive that he said contained a pornographic video with him in it.

Court documents indicate the DuBois-based State Police filed criminal charges against 35-year-old Jesse Wade Himes, of Curwensville.

According to a criminal complaint, around 8:40 a.m. on May 13, DuBois-based State Police were dispatched to a residence on Beechtree Road in Washington Township for a report of an unwanted man at the residence smashing things and arguing with the homeowners.

At the scene, police found Jesse Wade Himes outside the residence.

Himes reportedly told police he was at the residence trying to retrieve a hard drive that contained a pornographic video with him in it.

Police then spoke to the victims, who reportedly stated Himes confronted them about the hard drive and said “you’re lucky I didn’t kill you both and throw you in the basement.”

The victims also told police that Himes threatened to burn the house down, then began smashing the electric meter on the side of the residence with a baseball bat.

According to the complaint, Himes reportedly entered the back of the residence through the basement and obtained a propane torch, but exited again before police arrived at the scene.

Himes was then transported to the DuBois-based State Police barracks for further questioning.

The complaint states Himes admitted that he smashed the electric meter and said he was planning to go back inside and kill both of the victims. He also reportedly admitted to taking a .25 caliber handgun from the residence and stuffing it into his backpack.

However, the complaint notes that the victims both denied ownership of the firearm.

Due to the possibility of the gun being stolen, a search warrant was then requested and granted and the gun was subsequently located in a backpack, along with controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

According to the complaint, ownership of the gun is pending an eTrace.

Himes was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana at 2:05 p.m. on May 17, on the following charges:

– Burglary – Overnight Accommodations; Person Present, Bodily Injury Crime, Felony 1
– Criminal Trespass-Break Into Structure, Felony 2
– Terroristic Threats With Intent To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Criminal Mischief – Damage Property, Misdemeanor 3
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor

Unable to post $150,000.00 (10%) monetary bail, he was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. on May 25, with Judge Inzana presiding.                                                                                                                                                                       https://www.explorejeffersonpa.com/area-man-accused-of-breaking-into-residence-threatening-to-kill-two-victims-over-pornographic-video/
